“Setareh Noorani offers a haunting encounter with images and objects that narrate unseen worlds. Where does this archive come from, and where is it going? Is the archive ever settled somewhere, or is it continuously in a state of migration? Setareh intersects pictures, books, tapes, slides and other objects from her personal and ‘found’ archives, opening up the ambiguous relationship between departing and arriving, feeling welcome or at unease, ‘here’ and ‘there’, taking along and leaving behind.”
